Segundo escreve o Jornal de Negócios, existem neste momento 47 candidaturas aprovadas ou em fase final de aprovação, que equivalem a 20% dos 50 milhões de euros de fundos europeus disponibilizados para este fim. No total, o programa já recebeu 508 candidaturas. Só a Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto já apresentou 10 candidaturas, no valor de 2,5 milhões de euros.
Este programa, recorde-se, concede empréstimos a 15 anos com uma taxa fixa de 2,9%, sendo que os proprietários recebem 90% dos fundos necessários para a recuperação dos imóveis, comprometendo-se a colocar depois as habitações no mercado de arrendamento com renda condicionada.
